    Custom of the Week - 5/13/2013 - Hawk from Buck Rogers

    This week the spotlight falls on the latest extension of Zica's Buck Rogers line by Mikeoz. For someone who hasn't sculpted much, Mike sure knocked this one out of the park. The neat, clean look is another production-worthy effort.

    As a kid, Hawk was my favorite Buck Rogers character. When ZICA announced their Buck Rogers series, I was most excited to get a Hawk action figure. Unfortunately, a Hawk figure never materialized so my only option was to build my own. The trouble was that I couldnt find an acceptable solution to make the chest and back armor,

    I've been wanting to make a custom Mego Twiki from Buck Rogers, but couldn't decide on how to do it. Originally, I was going to use a 5" child body with a cloth suit. It wasn't working out for me, so I decided give a nod to the 12" Mego walking Twiki and make a hard plastic version. I 3D modeled a robot figure using

    I've had this custom mego style Draconian Guard nearly finished for several months, but I just completed it last night (maybe someday I can finish the custom Twiki I started). I really wanted the ZICA Draconian Guard, but unfortunately it didn't happen, so here's my version. It's definitely the most detailed custom I've done so

          One of my all-time favorite customs on this board. I love how Mike took it upon himself to keep the Zica line going via his customs.

              just awesome! loved the show as a kid and the episodes he was in were my fav's!

              I think Mike should make one for all of us! I call kindergarden rules on this one
