DST 1/4 scale Star Trek figures

DST just announced that they will be releasing 18 inch classic Star Trek figures this summer.

Don't leave your wife or girlfriend alone with an 18 inch Kirk with a voice chip!
You will come home and find her gone.

The Star Wars 1/4 line is extremely well done. I expect the Star Trek line to be no less.

But to me, the best ever Star Trek action figure line was by Mego. No joke, and not just being nostalgic. They had charm that no later toy line could match. Better sculpt maybe, more articulation perhaps, but cold in comparison to the Megos.

Playmates, I believe, tried to bring the Mego greatness back with their 9" line. I have the Spock, and can only offer praise. But...it just wasn't Mego.

Funny thing is Sideshow just did 1/4 scale Trek figs in fabric uniforms not long ago, altho they were of the limited to 1000, $250 variety.. :ugh_y:

I'm sure these will be more like $40-50.
