Lemme just say - these Yvonne bodies are freaking awesome.
The minute she hit my hands, I knew I had to make this figure.
I had an old doll head that Sean was using for a project that was the donor of the trademark streaks in her hair.
The reroot was actually pretty easy...threading a needle with a good amount of blonde hair was the task.
The hardest part was styling the hair.
Hairspray did not work...and I tried three brands and a LOT of it.
I ended up using clear acrylic spray! LOL
Once styled, I trimmed the excess hair off.
The dress is all one piece...quickly done, no pattern...just squished around the boobs and laid so the right leg is exposed.
My wife did help stitch here and there, but I ended up gluing a couple key locations to achieve the look.
I figured doing the scars would have been easy, but again, my mind was going faster than my end results.
I tried a sharp poker held in a flame - thinking it would puddle up the plastic a bit....nope. Ended up screwing it up and getting black burnt ash stuff of the poker into the scar.
Tried an exacto knife that was scalding hot from a heat gun...nope wouldn't do what I wanted.
Ended up with a jacked up beginning that I took a fine tip dremil cutter to, then laid some paint down in the scars. Wiped off the excess paint.
An EMCE Bride was the donor for the sleeve and belt...felt bad cutting it up, but all for a good cause.
Enjoy;
