    A curiosity question

We all grew up, well, most of us grew up loving mego's. But, not that i'm "all grown up" I think I like the customs better than the originals. Don't get me wrong now. I will ALWAYS love my Romulan, Andorian and Removeable cowl Batman but, for the most part. I'm very much into being a fan of the custom figs that mego never made.
What's your take on this everyone?

For myself, a bit of nostalgia will always place the originals ahead of anything else that comes along. It's hard to top those moments when you first laid eyes on these figures brand new in '73. But there are tons of product out right now and loads more coming. It's really eclipsing what I consider to be the golden years of figures in the mid-70's. There is SO MUCH licensed product out there, it's insane to consider the amount of volume to pick from. And some think this scale is dead? Far from it. I think as long as you love the scale, it doesn't matter what era it comes from. If it touches the kid in you, then the mission is accomplished.

I'm with Lee. I would like to sell everything in my collection but keep my customs.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Mego's started my obsession as a child, but customs keep the hobby alive . I love making customs of figures that were never made, or different from the originals.

There's room for both in my opinion.

I admire the work and effort these guys put into customs and while they look even better then the originals at times...I like my originals best and always will

                Hmmmm....

MY goal has always been to amass everyone cool in the same scale. So I'm not fussy on wether it's original or custom.
