Hellcat -- circa Avengers 144

Here we have Patsy Walker aka Hellcat in her most memorable costume.

Repro removable Batgirl cowl, Mego Batgirl head, CTVT gloves and boots, suit by Hawkmike, my paints.







Seems a simple enough recipe now that I type it out. Not sure why it took me so long to finish her.

She was inspired by Mego customizer Todd "IllegalMego" Waters who has been missing in action for far too long.

Nice job Austin. I love how you took the classic Mego concept and made Hellcat into a "What if Mego did" idea like you have been all of your figures. You're such a clever dude when it comes to this idea It's sad she is dead now, she was a classic hero back in the day.











* PS. In Avengers she didn't really do much. She put on Greer Grants old Cat outfit (that just happened to be laying around on some boxes while they were inside some factory lol) because she was just Hank McCoy (the Beasts) friend who was tagging along with the Avengers on a mission. I believe her ex husband or something like that was one of the bad guys in this story. I'll have to refer to it again, I have all of the originals and was Captain America (believe it or not) that gave Patsy the thumbs up (not sure he would do that today but...) I would more or less say she did more as a Defender Austin, that's when her career became noticeable and had more action especially when she got with Damion Hellstrom.
