Atomic Skull - 70s Superman villain

Not comic accurate, but about as close as my skills could get me.

Got the parts from everywhere. The head and body suit and logo came from David Lee's new shop.

The gloves, belt and boots from CTVT. The cape from Brian Leitner.

The logo is a painted Punisher logo with the teeth removed. The actual character's logo was smaller. He also had thigh high boots and the cape should be more like GA Green Lantern's with a collar, but a hood does a nice job covering up some of my poor paint skills.

This version looks a bit like Dr. Destiny with different colors.

Golden Age Superman (superman No. 1)

Cool suit and logo came from David Lee's new shop. Doc Mego belt. Head from an eBay auction with my crappy paints. The Toyroom made me a cool box based off the cover of Superman No. 1, but I have misplaced it. I used the red elf shoes because I didn't have any red boots on hand. I sorta like it. The cape is also too long, but I kind of like that, too.

Nice Skull. There is wire in the hood so you should be able to mold it a little closer to his head.

I like the shoes. It gives a more retro look. Didn't Superman have some kind of sandals early on?

^yes, Superman did have sandals. The way he was drawn varied a good bit the first year and became more standardized as the series went on.

On Skull, I like how the black lining of the hood and the black thread under the chin and around the neck gives the slight illusion that the skull is floating. Love your craftsmanship, Brian.

If I can find any of the glow in the dark paint Farley uses on his werewolf claws, I'm going to try it on the skull.

Your superman looks like it could have been made back in the 1950's if Mego had existed back then. Love the classic look.
