Repro Conan shorts

Today was a fun day indeed.

What started off as custom project for my MOTU line soon spiraled off into a completely different direction.

After some trial and error.


My lovely mother has made a pretty darn good pattern for some furry shorts.



As compared to originals shorts, I'd say they're the next best thing.

little history here - the Mrs. does like to sew, but not mego-scale...
she's watched as I try - but I don't have enough fundamental know-how and I don't learn from the mistakes.
Sean has gotten further than myself with the machine...and is getting better.

He'd had this fabric from Jo-Anns for a little while now as he planned the beast man figure..not only until I saw what he was doing did the light bulb go off.
Conan.

Before I knew it, the Mrs was at the machine and drawing patterns, trial and error...
I had a Conan with (what I assume) was DrMego Conan shorts. These short were more like a velour material.

But the Mrs spent most of the afternoon (snow day) just hard at it...and I am their toughest critique...but I think she freaking nailed em.
The shorts I am holding in that pic are not final product - they were to just give you an idea of shape when not on a figure.

Might have to gauge interest - she said she'd do a dozen or so if there is demand.

I have some One million b.c mego ones I'll give you, probably pretty close to the Conan originals.
