The Royal Flush Gang -- Finally, after 6 long years!

If by chance you read my Customizer of the Month bio in February of 2007 you may remember me mentioning that I was working on a set of Royal Flush Gang customs and showed an "in-progress" picture (shown below)

Little did I know that for 6 years they would go un-finished.

My fellow customizers will be able to sympathize. How often do we start projects with the intent to finish them only to set them aside (for any number of reasons) only to never get back to them?

Well, I was inspired to revisit this villainous group from my unfinished customs past and set out to finish what I started. I am proud to present to you for the first time in public: the Royal Flush Gang.

    Ace

Using a Mego Flash Gordon body, Dr Mego Hulk body hands, Dr Steel head from the Mattel Big Jim line and my paints and suit.

    King

T2 Mego body with white hands, CTVT black hero boots and crown, head is an amalgam of Mego Green Arrow and Famous Covers Sting, my paints and suit.

    Queen

T2 Mego female body with Glinda head (re-painted) and crown, painted white hands and boots of unknown origin. My paints and suit.

    Jack

T2 Mego body with white hands, Famous Covers Sting head, CTVT black hero boots and crown. My paints and suit.

    Ten

T2 Mego female body with painted white hands, Mego Mary Ellen Walton head. My paints and suit.

    The Royal Flush Gang

As you can tell, I pulled from various Mego action figure lines to complete these . The Waltons, WGSH, Wizard of Oz, Flash Gordon, Action Jackson and Knights to give them that Megoesque feel.

Hope you enjoy these as much as I do. And, as always, thanks for looking.

    Peace, Love and Megos,

    Austin

Austin, these are stunning--just as I recall from '80s JLA comics.

I might tweak a few details, but this is a beautiful set & perfectly "suited" for printed togs.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

I hear you loud and clear on the "tweak". There are so many variations of these guys AND a shortage of Megoesque items to use for them I struggled with finally saying, "OK they're finished!"
