ST: TOS "The Empath"

You know, I'm surprised not to see customs from ST's "The Empath" episode.

Kathryn Hays' perfomance is one of the series best, & she is lovely. The duo of Vian aliens have a cool make-up as well, although a bit "Talosian."

IMO, it's one of the stronger episodes in the hit-or-miss third season.

I've always liked the look of the aliens in that episode. Although the storylines were weaker than the other seasons, I think some of the neatest aliens were written onto the third season.

Filmstrip Fantasy has done customs from just about every episode of TOS, including "The Empath"

One-off characters, guest stars, aren't often very popular. Some exceptions like Harry Mudd, Cyrano Jones, Trelayne, are some exceptions. I think there are still a still a bunch of others that rate higher than the characters from The Empath, IMHO.

It's quite brutal, almost gratuitous, that's true.

Hays' performance always holds my attention though--esp. in a series where most female guest-stars are window-dressing.
