I just buy ponytail extensions from the beauty supply store.

It's not really a matter of difficulty, just tedious.

I'll have to check the link out. That might be a better deal than www.restoredoll.com, which is where I find some of the funkier colors I use.

I found a little bit at Dollar Tree to get started. I will need more, tho. I will check out the links, thanks. Rooting is easy, Dave. I am streamlining my own process a bit from my first attempt on Thor.

I use costume wigs from Party City, Party Depot, etc. You can find them on sale for like $9 and one wig will do a lot of small mego heads. Plus I found that if you need to straighten them or curl them, they respond really well to hot water or steamers. You can find them even cheaper at some thrift stores during halloween. I got a long blond one that will do who knows how many heads for $7.00.

Nice Resource. I use a candle to melt the hair before pulling it back into the head. It's quicker than knotting. The glue method sounds like it would work but the Mego neck hole is so small it would be hard to get the glue in all the right places.
The hair that stands up to baking opens up possibilities with sculpted heads.
                        Better late than never.....

                            success!!

                            Head was a Toybiz Spidergirl

need to cut it and get it to lay down better, but it is not too hard to do and not all that time consuming. This was my second one and I got it done quicher than the last. She has a big hole in the back of the head where the plastic hair was mounted, I filled that with a braided pony tail that will show up when I give her an Amazon Warrior haircut.
