    Set in dirt removal question

Usually when I clean Mego clothing, I have good luck washing them with mild dish soap or even shampoo, but those didn't work for me this time...

I have a Dr. Zaius outfit that's in decent shape except the top and pants have dirt that is really set in... I tried soaking them in soapy water and that didn't do any good... I don't want to try bleach on them because that'd ruin the brown cloth of the top...

Can anyone recommend somthing that's good at removing set-in dirt/stains?

    Thanks...

    Oxy clean. It works wonders.

Use a small amount in a tub of warm, not hot, water.

Agitate until all of the powder is dissolved then dunk the item until it is soaked.

Let it sit for about a half hour; checking occasionally to see if the dirt is lifting.

I had rescued an old raggedy Ann doll that had seen better days and took it apart to get rid of the stuffing.

I soaked the doll's body the same way I told you. And you wouldn't believe all of the dirt and cigarette smoke residue that came out of the fabric!
