Kiss Sonic Boom figures from CTVT

So CTVT/Figures has finally put the Sonic Boom figures up for pre-sale. What do you all think? There seems to be a rather large difference in the 8 inch and 12 inch figures... the big guys look a lot better in my opinion. I personally am not interested in this line up and won't be buying them but I'd like to hear what others think. They did finally seem to get Paul Stanley looking like Paul Stanley, though!

I see a bunch of sales of gene for the costume, and paulnfor the better portrait. Not too much interest in the replacements, tho.

Yikes, The Gene and Paul figures are nice. Might buy the Demon and Starchild 8in only because the 12 in are waaaayyyy tooo expen$ive! They need to bring the prices down a bit. It will be the slowest selling set since WHO in their right minds want a FAKE ACE and FAKE Peter set???? Theres ONLY 1 ACE and 1 Peter...Sorry, KISS but you cant substitute founding members and fool the audience especially, when we have been fans since the 70s!!!

Eric CARR YEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!! Amen, I just saw The Tale Of The Fox video and it was bittersweet! I miss him and really learned alot about him and he was just a very sweet and amazing person! I contacted the morons over at Figures Toy Inc about a possible Creatures,Dynasty and maybe Elder sets and all I got was, "MAYBE?" Really! I was really ****ed because Eric deserves to be remembered and its an INSULT to see a useless Tommy Thayer ugly doll or Eric Singer fake Catman figure before and Eric Carr one! Eric Carr is a legend,an icon and touched the hearts of so many fans worldwide! That guy brought the fire back to KISS when KISS needed it the most and that's an undisputable fact!

I would have skipped the full set and only done Gene and Paul instead. Who needs two FAKE members pretending to be ACE AND PETER???? We need an Eric Carr figure instead....ERIC,ERIC.Eric the Foxy Fox

The 12 inch Gene and Paul have good head sculpts, but CTVT wants WAAAAY too much for them. Well overpriced. The rest, including the eight inch scale, look amateurish, unoriginal, and...well...forgettable.

I will get the 8" set. I've enjoyed owning the entire line. The last set looked way better in person.

I'll wait for figures of the real KISS. It's cool they went with new sculpts for the heads. It's interesting that the First set (Love Gun, original Mego) had the old school 2 piece boots, then the second set (first album) had the new style rubber molded boots, now the third set is back to the original style.
While the molded rubber boots certainly look more realistic, I think I actually prefer the old 2 piece style. Just my two cents.

Has anybody here purchased the 12" figures? Would you share some pics? I've only got the 8 inch (and an original Gene from my childhood) and there seems to be some big differences in how they look. I'd love to seem some shots if you're willing to share 'em.
