DUH. No one team can win that much, unless they are Cheating. They are NOT that good. Above average, yes... However with all the Cheating they do, thats why they have the record they do. Because of the 1 game, eairler this season, that the NFL fined them for, they should not be able to be where they are now. & For "all you's" out there, that say "Every Team Does it" ..., No other Team got fined, & Lost a pick in the Draft, did they. :wink_y:

I Hope the Gmen slamn them sooooooooooooooooooooooo Hard tommorrow. :smiley1:

Wow the looks like The Pats got some more explaining to do...You think if this is proven to be true they'd be stripped of that title? if it's true which i'm sure it is,they should give the other 1st round pick to the Rams and get fined again

As much as I hate the Pats, knowing the other teams' playbook is not enough. The Pats are clearly a great team with tons of talent...the so-called cheating was just icing on the cake.

Having said that...

GO GIANTS!!!

Naaaaaaaaaaaahhh!

LOL! just wishful thinking i guess  but they have to be punished somehow,if an Olympic star like Marion Jones could get stripped of her gold medals for cheating, why should'nt they? I know the whole team didn't cheat, but neither did her relay teammates and they are still going to lose their medals

Interesting, but at the end of the day it all sounds like sour grapes. No team has been under as much scrutiny as the Pats this year and they won despite all of it. Look at my favorite team...The Dallas Cowboys. One story about Romo and Jessica and the team lets a banner year and 13 pro-bowl picks get flushed because Romo can't handle it. I was so ****ed when they choked to the Giants. And that's just what it was...choked. The Patriots are a great team because they have demonstrated resolve and most importantly maturity in the face of so much criticism. I don't care who you are or what team you love. When you can beat all of the best teams the league has to offer, that is a statement all by itself.

This filming scandal also holds a great degree of hypocrisy in the manner by which games are broadcast anyway. How many times has Fox or NBC been right in the face of the coaches, especially Belichik, when he's making calls late in the game during close matches? Overhead cameras even put you in the huddle with sound when their calling plays. W-T-F?!!!!

I played this sport for 8 years and I'm here to tell you a team can't go undefeated because of a stupid camcorder during ONE game. I can't tell you how many times we knew what play was being called but we still couldn't stop them or vice-versa. Knowing is never enough. You still have skill sets at each position and plus there's variations to every play.

A good team can run over you with an open game book if you don't match up well against them. Here's an example... We'll run a 'four man deep' and we'll select the author of this thread, Bobbait, to play deep safety. Now Moss has been running deep patterns sporatically during the game and he's noticed Bobbait does not have the speed or jumping ability he has. Bobbait knows on the next play (by their formation) they most likely will be throwing it deep ...and possibly to Moss. What is Bobbait going to do? He can hang back and wait, but ultimately if he's mismatched against Moss he's not likely to bat the pass away or intercept it since Moss can out jump him. That is only ONE of many, many different ways teams watch their opposition during a game. It's through those player to player match ups that teams formulate and adjust strategies throughout the course of a game. If your receiver comes off the field and tells you his coverage is wearing down, you'll ask your coach in the booth to watch the next series. If that looks to be the case, you'll throw in that direction or run that direction to exploit that weakness. That is where the game is won.

I agree. Taping has been going on for years. Teams have lip readers on their payroll. For Sen Spector to come pout looking for headlines right before the SP is unbelieveable.

Nobody want the Pats to more than me, I am a life long Dolphin fan and the perfect season and Marino are the only things I have left to cling to. The Pats are a machine.

I agree they are an amazing team, probably the most talent on one team ever, but that's what really gets me.that a team that good had to do that, and even if it was a few years ago. They were still a great team back then when they won the SB,to me this doesn't make Bill a genius coach,it makes him a cheater. So much for cheaters never prosper, this guy's on his way to winning another one using this method

The Patriots beat the other teams to get to the Super Bowl XXXXII. Being a Dolphin fan from the Bob Geesie era and the 73 season, I'm not whining. My only hope after the start of the Dolphin's Season was them to have their only win be against the Patriots. The Dolphins let me down. Hay, it would of been funny if the Patriot only loss all season was again the worst team in the NFL the season.

This will be a good Superbowl, with two possible milestones.
1.) Patriot having a perfect season.
OR
2.) Giants winning and Eli Manning and Patyon Manning being the first brothers to hold back to back Super Bowl rings, (Eli with Giants and Patyon with Colts in SB 41). Shame their Dad, Archie doesn't have one.

I hear what your saying and I completely understand your perspective. But from my point of view I think the Jets game was a grudge match between two warring coaches. What the media hasn't been telling the public much, is the Jets were caught filming a Patriots game during their last match up in 2006. I'm sure this was the catalyst from which the camcorder ordeal came into play when the Patriots met the Jets again in the opening game for 2007. It's a grudge match and a "I'll show you" response from the Patriots all wrapped into one lone game. I completely agree that Belichik should not have done it ,since it was a new rule implemented in 2007 (it was okay in 2006). He let his grudge against the Jets coach get the best of him and it cost him far worse than he probably ever thought it would. But, with that being said, I think the whole matter is WAY overblown. If the Jets were doing it in 2006 why weren't they winning? The Patriots are an easy target because they continue to win. No one wants to talk about a losing team that filmed a game. At the end of the day, they are one heck of a talented football team and this is coming from a diehard Cowboys fan. I love the game of football and I respect any team that excels at the game. The Patriots have been an incredible organization and winning Superbowls with many different players in key positions each time. Tom Brady at QB and Teddy Bruschki at LB have been about the only ones present for all four Superbowls. Now THAT is pretty freakin' amazing and the team has my respect for such an incredible achievement. Take care Mego bro'...

The other teams didn't get caught doing what the Pats did but recording the other team can't make you win the Game. Tom Brady and the rest of the Team are Just Good!! I'm not even a big fan of Football but I can see that.
