    Presto Magix Store Display

I thought I'd spend this Friday showing you one of more impulsive moves in recent history. See I set up at the Burlington Toy Con two weeks back to clear up space, I brought three bins of stuff from Rack Toys photo shoots and hoped to come home with none.

Two tables down was this, this wonderful triggered memory and worst of all, the dealer was a friend. Yeah, I stared at it all day and at the end it went home with me.

Presto Magix had a power over me as a kid, they were cheap, creative and I loved them. As an adult, I even worked for a company that made similiar sets, my sickness runs deep.

This thing is loaded with many of my favourites and...Scrappy Doo. I don't have the space for this absolutely fantastic piece, so if there is anyone interested please drop me a line.

Eventually when the dust settles, I'll put together a compendium of all the Presto Magix designs.

I have a similar set w/ Michael Jackson, although I thnk it may be Colorforms. But the idea is the same, rubbing it w/ a pencil until the picture transfers to paper.

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

        Awesome!
I had that Spidey set, and also Hulk, Thor, Superman, Batman, etc.
Also had the Empire Strikes back sets.

Many were the hours I spent with Presto Magix.

Man, I remember a Presto Magix display sat on the counter in the toy dept of our local Ben Franklin store. Right next to the Poopa-Trooper display. I bought a Presto-Magix almost every time my mom went in there. It as always kind of nerve-wracking for me, because you had to really think things through with those kits. Once you laid the image down, it was there for good, unlike Colorforms. BUT, the full color graphics put them over Colorforms in other ways.

Great pick-up. I'd have bought it too!!!

Well I'm in no hurry to get rid of it but the place I thought it would fit? Wasn't even close.

That is pretty. I don't remember seeing this per se but I know I had some. Might still have Batman somewhere.

I can't even remember all the sets of these I did. They were wonderful and creative.

Very cool, Brain! Thanks for sharing.

I remember those booklets, but what are those boxes in the front of the display?

I was addicted to these as a kid. Everytime we went to the local pharmacy, I had to come out with a couple.

Wow! I completely forgot about those! I had a Star Wars set from Empire Strikes Back. It was the rebel base on Hoth. Thanks for bringing back that memory!

I loved those as a kid, too. I did not care for Scrappy-Doo as a kid. I wonder if those sold?
                          It's all good!
