    NECA re-megos!

I´ve just read this on bigbadtoystore em-mail:

    DJANGO UNCHAINED 8" ACTION FIGURES - CASE/SET/SINGLE
From the highly anticipated new film from prolific director Quentin Tarantino - comes this collection of poseable 8" figures with tailored fabric clothing - similar to the retro toy lines that helped define the licensed action figure market in the 1970s. These characters are faithful to their western looks in Django Unchained and includes the likenesses of such famous hollywood talent as Jamie Foxx and Leonardo Dicaprio. Characters included are Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio), Stephen (Samuel L. Jackson), Django (Jamie Foxx), Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), Butch (James Remar), and Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz). Each figure stands approx 8" tall, with tailored western clothing, and authentic weapons and accessories.

This is Quentin Tarantino's new movie, which is due in theaters this December.

I'm drooling at the prospect of figures from Tarantino's other movies if this is a success. I think all of his characters lend themselves to the "retro" format.

Some people in a 1/6 forum had already discussed this in March!

I just found out about these from my supplier looks like NECA are going into Megos. As they say in the forum, Tarantino himself is who is behind this great and surprising decision.

Its an American date. 9/3 is September 3rd so just a few days ago, not 3/9 which would have been March.

Man, that's really cool, wish Black Dynamite had done the same thing.

Been looking forward to this movie for a while.

COOL-ISH. I mean, of ALL the Quentin Tarantino movies that I LOVE...they had to do the one I'm the least interested in seeing. PULP FICTION is my favorite movie of all time What wonderful figures they would make. BRING OUT THE GIMP!

Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12

The film looks interesting. I wonder if he would be interested in making his other characters in the format.
