The Lone Ranger is ready to ride again!

I'm still slowly making it through my childhood collection and doing some thorough cleaning. The Lone Ranger was next on my priority list. These guys rode lots of trails, and then were put away dirty. Here is the whole crew after an extensive cleaning session. Seeing these guys again makes me think of Woody in the Toy Story movies. If these guys could talk, they would share some crazy adventurers. Hopefully, they have forgotten that they occasionally wore clothes from Ken. hahaha.

    That's awesome. They look great.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Awesome. So cool your Ranger mask survived. Usually the first thing to go. I still have my horses from my youth, but I had to get replacement Ranger and Tonto.

Those look brand new. Nice clean up.
My Ranger's outfit was nearly bleached white from exposure to the sun. My wife just re-dyed it blue a couple of days ago.

Thanks. The LR came out the best. He is only missing the belt for his pants. Tonto is probably the worst off. I didn't want to damage his clothes with too much cleaning. There are spots that are tinted red. I don't know...Might have drawn blood on him with marker at some point. He's also a little floppy at the waist. Red sleeves is like new. I have guns for Butch but the clasp on the belt is ripped off. Glad you folks like them.

These are cool figures. My cousins had them and the cardboard playset, (I think). In the 90s when I picked up the Filmation cartoon, I wanted some of these figures but couldn't find them, so I got the cowboy and indian figures from Rapid Deployment Force, (Generic 12" GIJoes), and a thrift store horse and I was ready to go!

                        Was it like this playset?

I got this for Christmas in 1979. Recently found a great new home for it with someone on this forum.

You did a fantastic job. They look almost brand new. By the way, I absolutely loved these Lone Ranger figures when I was a boy. Still do.

Thanks Ian. I like your avatar and tagline. I had (past tense) the Emergency truck, John and Roy growing up. I still have Roy, but somehow he is a weird combination of LJN and Mego body parts. Not sure when that happened. I still have the SWAT headquarters, too. Probably going to sell that one since I don't have any other SWAT items.

I'm still not satisfied with Tonto's suit. I used ivory liquid on it. Anybody have any other suggestions that wouldn't cause the fuzzy to peel off?
