    80s GI Joes

I've got an appointment tomorrow to look at some 80s Joes. I thought they were 70's fuzzy heads, but after talking to this fella it sounds like they are 80s figures and vehicles---all loose. What should I look out for? I'm not exactly enthusiastic because I know little about this line but figure I should still go take a look. Guy seems like he just wants to get rid of 'em but I wanna be prepared with a fair offer. Any advice?

Yeah, straight arm stuff is always good, if they have their thumbs attached and complete.....the largest sizes vehicles/playsets are gold too...the Aircraft carrier, the Terrordrome and the Space Shuttle Defiant Complex. The original Sears Cobra base is gold as well...it's made completely out of cardboard. As with anything, condition and completeness are key.

There are so many other things in the line that could be good so, as toys2cool alluded to, if you get some pics, people can help you out immensely more.

Well I just got back from the buy. The fella had WAY more stuff than I had anticipated. 2 large trunks, 3 tubs and a few boxes---All 80s toys. Some JOE vehicles (he couldn't find the figures--gonna get back to me), a tub full of fantasy figures, a chest full of Kenner Bone Age stuff. And a TON of Hasbro Air Raiders stuff--seriously enormous amount. Stuff is basically unplayed with--bought by the dude back in the 80s and stored away....

Gonna be crazy sorting this stuff--the Joe vehicles are all super clean but the missiles and stuff are just in one big pile and not sure what goes with what! Hahaha.....

Thanks! I may take you up on that. I'm not much of an 80s guy but I do like the fantasy lines from then. One of these boxes is filled with Dragonriders of the Styx figures and Remco Crystar stuff. Really fun stuff.

Which Joe vehicle should I be on the lookout for?

The Night Force vehicles are pretty good....They'll be mostly black with orange pieces and glow in the dark stickers. I think the all chromed sky patrol vehicles are decent.....Some of the jets are ok as well, the Skystriker has always been a fav. The most important part of the vehicles (as with most toys) is completeness.

Nice. I would have loved to found something like this today. Drove around all day and have a splitting headache from the heat. Only thing I scored was a lot of aggravation.

I can use that Blackstar weapons (glow in the dark sharp thing in the last pic under the red devil guy).

You have Red Tricephalon!!!!!! I saw this copied version of him only once back then (very early 80's) in a knights vs Dragons type of playset. No one I have ever encountered (this inc Godzilla related websites) has ever seen nor heard of such a thing but I knew it to be true cause I saw it in the box (by opening the side) with my own eyes. Thank you for your picture confirming it. Sending you a PM

I was gonna ask if the 3head was originally from the Goji game set.

Love the army of pig guards. That is just great.
