    New life for Mold-A-Rama machine

I vaguely remember getting something from one of these machines back in the 70s. Probably at Sea World, or the San Diego Zoo. Wish I lived in Chicago so I could go and pick one up in person.

As is known I do have something of a Mold-A-Rama problem myself. I've got some local machine pulls to swap if any Chicagoans want to hook up a trade =)

The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago has one that makes U505 German submarines.

Nice. Good to see they got the machine up and running and to have Tim Biskup be a first artists rocks. Might have to score one now.

Not sure if any of you know about the MAR club over at Moldville.com. William created the MAR club for which you pay $332 plus shipping for a year subscription of old MARs. I got it for my daughter for x-mas last year and she loves them all. She is still waiting for more. The highlights for her are the Seattle Space Needle in Glow in the dark and the Seattle Monorail. I like the Mann's Chinese Theatre Buddha and Hollywood Bowl. But my favorite yet to purchase for her is this guy:

His club-a-rama is so popular here in Seattle that it's gotten written up in two magazines locally to help commemorate the 50th anniversary of Seattle Center and the Space Needle.

I love these. Had a ton as a kid. Would love one of those Chicago ones.

Just ordered the Biskup one! Excited to get it. He's one of my favorite artists and this is the coolest thing I've seen in awhile.

                  Ditto. Ordered two.
Also order the Purple People Eater, another Space Needle and Buddha.
Now if I can get a Hollywood Observatory.

I'll probably be ordering new colors of the Biskup piece when they change it.

I was thinking the same thing. I'd the transition colored when it's swirls the two different colors.

That'd be cool. They should offer a subscription so you can get the new colors as soon as they come out without having to re-order every month.

Had a bunch of these as a kid. Most melted in attic storage or broke apart! Wonder if there are any machines still out there operating.
Too many toys. Not enough space!

There are quite a few still in operation. Mostly in the Mid-West.
