    TV Superstars

Looking at this vintage licensing ad stirs some emotion in me. I mean seriously, why were we not treated to "Bigfoot and Wildboy" action figures?

We live in a world where got toys of "The Waltons" but the "Space Sentinels seemed too risky? Agggghhhh, I'd almost be filled with rage were it not for that delightful image of late actor, Lenny Weinrib as "Magic Mongo".

Oh Lenny, I can't even stay mad at you for being the first Scrappy Doo....

Oh how I love Krofft! And I think BF and WB should have had action figures as well. Sometimes, I use Big Jeff (Big Jim's pal) for Wildboy, w/ a piece of felt on him tied at the waist, and the SMDM Bigfoot figure. In fact there's a certain episode called Space Prisoner where a bald alien w/ a cape lands on Earth. It looks almost like my first custom Tamar (an alien Space 1999 head, w/ a jumpsuit an cape), so w/ all these figures, I can act out that episode. I know, I'm weird, but you love me anyway!

Bigfoot and Wildboy was one of my all time favourite things on TV.
I too really wanted action figures of the characters.
It'd be cool if they released the full run of episodes on DVD.

I vaguely recall Wonder Bug, but the rest are unknown to me personally. Kaptain Kool looks familiar. Was he on an 80s sitcom?

Yeah, other than Mighty Mouse of course, I have zero recollection of any of these. "Bigfoot and Wildboy"??

I can't believe some of you guys don't remember "The Kroftt Super Show"! It was hosted by Kaptain Kool and the Kongs, and in Seaon Two featured segments with Wonder Bug, Bigfoot/Wildboy, Magic Mongo. Season One was Wonder Bug, Dr Shrinker and Electra Woman/Dyna Girl.

I think some of the folks who say they don't remember the Krofft Supershow w/ Kaptain Kool and the Kongs and Bigfoot and Wildboy, and Wonderbug, are 80s babies. But you guys who don't know what we're talking about can look them up on YouTube. There is a guy who has a TON of Krofft Supershow eps. (he even made copies for me!). Saturday morning at its finest!

Bigfoot and Wildboy..,I loved that showed when I was a little boy. As I recall, even the intro was really good.

I was definitely a 70's kid (born in 67) and I just don't recall these at all, except maybe Wonderbug. That seems very vaguely familiar but I don't think I ever actually watched it.
