    Ken of the Apes

From down under comes this awesome shot of Ken, clutching an Astro Ape having a Mego Planet of the Apes adventure that includes a Big Jim Gorilla and Frankenstein(!) The joys of imagination and the "Megoverse"....

I miss having that kind of fun.

Great pic, I miss those play adventures too. This is the first childhood pic I've ever seen that involves an Astro Ape, good stuff!

That picture is a hundred different kinds of awesome rolled into one.

My greatest Mego adventure involved the Star Trek crew beaming down to the Planet of the Apes to rescue Starsky & Hutch from becoming lobotomized by Dr. Zaius.

That is a great picture! Megos, mixed storylines, imagination and the great outdoors! Does it get any better when you're a kid?

My kids have great imaginations, but that's one thing I rarely see them do: take their inside toys outside. My dad's garden was a great place to dig foxholes for GI Joes, have an epic MOTU battle, or build a tunnel so my Mego Pocket Heroes Batman could just slide right into his Batmobile.

                    Great picture!!!
