    The life of a Stretch Collector, told by the bard

    All the world wants an Elastic Hulk
    And all the men and women merely speculators:
    They have their Armstrong's and their Monsters;
    And one man in his time own's many stretch figures,
    His stretch collecting being in seven stages. At first the Armstrong,
    Stretching and puking on his stretchable arms.
    And then the Stretch Junk Yard , with his chain
    And stretching arms, stretching like a dog
    Unwillingly to break. And then the stretch Superman,
    Stretching like a morning stretch, with a wonderful Chris Reeve head
    Made to never break or rip. Then the Octopus,
    Full of stretchie arms and stretching like the bard.
    Pink in colour, filled with corn syrup
    Seeking his stretchable capacity.
    Even in a childs hands. And then the collector,
    A fairly strechable figure with just interior cardboard.
    With rubber not rotted out and box close to "good",
    Full of poop and modern estimates;
    And so he keeps stretching his part. The sixth stretch shifts
    Into the lean and tight 2000's
    With speculations on tongue and price guide on side,
    His youthful Stretch Hulk well saved, a world too small
    For his Stretch Hulk dried; and his big stetching arms,
    Turning into dried rubber and hard goo.
    And boasts in his sound. Last stand of all,
    That ends this strange eventful history of a Stretch collector,
    Childishness and mere oblivion,
    Sans Hulk, sans Monster, sans Armstrong, sans everything.

              "What a piece of work is Elastic Stretch Hulk! How noble in reason! how infinite in faculties! in form and moving, how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension, how like a god! the beauty of the world! the paragon of animals! And yet, to me, what is this quintessence of dust? Elastic Stretch Hulk delights not me; no, nor woman neither, though by your smiling you seem to say so."

                Elastic Hulk is but a walking shadow, a poor player
                That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
                And then is heard no more; it is a tale
                Told by an collector, full of sound and fury,
                Signifying nothing.

                  That was soo beautiful. If I had corn syrup for tears I'd be gushing right now. This poem I think hit one or two here right in the stretchy part. Mike, you need this published in stretchy monthly. Oh wait, there is no such magazine because there is little interest in stretch figures.

                      Rend Me.
                      Rupture Me.
                      Spill my sweet entrails
                      in fullfillment of your deepest medieval bloodlusts.

                      A hero in your hands
                      offering mastery of his flesh:
                      Hulk upon your rack;
                      The Man of Steel 'twixt gleeful youths;
                      An implausable uberkind born for torment.

                      Reason de atre: the limits of torture, destruction -
                      Apparent at the moment of creation,
                      Birthed in warehouses
                      attended by rats.
                      Destined for the dustman
                      escorted by a scowling matron.

                      Misery, oblivion
                      thy name is Elastic.

                        To stretch or not to stretch----THAT------ is the Hulk
                        "No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

                          You guys have to also include the Spider-man, Batman, Plastic man figures too in the poems. They are feeling left out.
