She was 70. She played Bob Newhart's wife Emily on the old "Bob Newhart Show" and she was Karen's mother on "Will and Grace". I particularly liked her in the James Garner movie "Support Your Local Gunfighter!" and the Disney flick "The Shaggy D.A." back in the 70s.

I remember her from the James Garner movie too. ALso remeber her in a Jerry Lewis movie but can't remember the name of it (he played a magician). She was a hottie in her day. RIP.

Rest in Peace.

I recently watched Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" a couple of months back on TCM and was amazed how beautiful she remained in her whole life & career.

I always thought she looked too good to be Bob Newhart's wife.

I loved the fact they had her on the last episode of "Newhart". Sure we find out the whole series was just a dream but it's still cool that last scene with her. She'll be missed.

RIP.

They say these things happen in 3's. We have had 2 celebrity deaths in 1 day.

We like to collect a lot of the old Disney live action movies from the 60's and 70's. She played opposite of Dean Jones in a lot of those. Am I the only one who gets a sense of nostalgia from those old Disney movies?

When I found out, I was pretty upset. I always liked her. My fondest memories are from The Bob Newhart Show, but I remember her fondly from The Birds as well. She had a great voice too.

At least she's back with Tom Poston.

Poston was on "NEWHART"... Suzanne was on "The Bob Newhart Show"... Totally different shows, but both were good..
