    POTA Palitoy/Bradgate cards

Were the Planet of the Apes figures ever sold in the U.S. on the second issue Palitoy/Bradgate cards? I have a recollection of a friend removing his POTA figures from blister cards featuring that beautiful Soldier Ape artwork. This would have been sometime in the 1977-1981 timeframe on Long Island. I think he may have got them at Child World in Bayshore.

I'd have to say no... I mean APES were on the way out when they were really in demand in the UK... If anything (and this is just a scenario which probably never was), MEGO would have sent a bunch on the US cards to the UK to meet the demand over in England, etc.

I'm quite sure that if the excellent PALITOY cards were ever sold in the US, they would have shown up by now from a warehouse find or something... They're scarce as hen's teeth as it is from overseas and almost unheard of in the States...
