    Happiness is a warm playset

I would have gone ape**** for this in 1975.

Oh yeah, I was a huge Peanuts fan, and I would have loved these. I don't recall ever seeing them before.

The only Peanuts toy I had was a diecast truck with Snoopy's doghouse on the back, with a rubber snoopy that sat on top of the house. I just tried to do a search on ebay for one, and although I found a bunch of other Snoopy trucks, I couldn't find the one I had. Anyone know what one I'm talking about?

Not sure, they did a bunch of those vehicles, I had a few.

I could totally be a Peanuts collector. I used to consume those paperback compilations ravenously through the paperback exchange in my hometown.

Who made this playset? Is this the same company that made this plastic Snoopy figure in a cloth flying ace helmet? I had and loved that one. Kept it past college but he got lost along the way.

I'd gone ape-crap for these too. And I too devoured the paperback (and old hardback) collections at the school library, and had a ton of them purchased for me as well.

I have a bunch of old Peanuts stuff, mostly from Avon, somewhere....

LOVED the Peanuts as a kid and still do today. I have all the Avon Peanuts containers boxed. Love those as a kid. Such great memories. Even have the Snoopy soap dish with the soap still wrapped in it. And believe it or not, it smells awesome. I would like to find the Snoopy/Red Baron set which featured his dog house (made of Styrofoam) on a wire that flew in circles from this motor. You controlled whether he went high or low. Great memories with the Peanuts.

These are so cool. I wonder how tall the figures are.

I had this as a child. The figures were 8-12" tall? By the 80's the glue holding the plastic pieces of the figures evaporated, so they began to split. I have some pieces of the snoopy house and I think pieces of Snoopy somewhere. There was a clear plastic piece that sat on the house that snoopy fit into and that is how he could sleep on his house. The ears could rotate, so you could point them down when he was lying on his back. They do not show that in the picture.

I was constantly borrowing the paperback strip compilations from the library. Must have read most of them 20 times or more. I'm really enjoying the hardcover sets that Fantagraphics is publishing now.

Too bad to here that these figures eventually fell apart. So I guess you don't find too many intact ones for sale these days?

Actually these figures are about 7-8 inches tall. I had the Snoopy when I was a kid (and the surf board accessory pack) and recently reacquired a boxed one on eBay. The bodies are the same for all figures, they just changed the head for each one (and Snoopy had dog feet and a tail).

^^I guess I should also add, that the ones I had, I played with a lot and kept out in my room in sunlight and all, so I cannot say for all of them that they do not survive intact. My Snoopy house was in reality sat on and smashed, but that was a story of my stupidity that I didn't want to air to the public. I never thought to look for any on ebay.
