    Camping with Big Red

When I last posted about Spiegel Catalog exclusive "Big Red" I had never heard of him. However, I got a ton of email from you lot saying that you not only had Big Red but that you loved him!

So here is Red's offering from 1975!

So how "Big" was Big Red? 1/6 scale?

Looks pretty neat. Toy companies used to give you tons of accessories, didn't they?

Edited to add: Just as I was clicking away from my post, I noticed I have some of the Big Red Accessories. I got them in a large lot of old toys at an Antique Mall outside of Knoxville, TN a few years ago. I have the barrel and bags of flour at the very least.

^Yeah I was expecting a skinny nervous kid, a pretty boy moron, a frizzy haired punk and some foreign kid included.

Talking feature includes 16 variations on "foot in the arse".

Never heard of him until today. Very cool. It seems like everything in the 70's had a camping theme to it. Big Jim pretty much led the way. Big Red looks like Big Josh with red hair.

That's what so great about Big Red he's a knock off Gijoe and Big Jim at the same time! He definitely had the best raft of any 1970s action figure! Havent ever seen the tent but Jeep is by Empire.
