Mego Meet 2012 Experience: Priceless

Sorry for my late report of the event. Hard to believe another meet has come and gone. Steve, Tom and I were talking at Hoss's and remarked it seemed like we were just there for 2011. It takes forever to come and then flies by.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? It's always great to see friends every year: Tom, Berto, Chuck, Ron, Steve, Paul, Doc, Steve, John, Brian, Steve, Jim, Boss, Austin, the Dereks, Ray and Collette, Brue, not to mention all the Scotts and all the other regulars at the Megosuite. Plus it's always great to see the new faces who make the trip to the meet. Hanging in the Megosuite every night is always the highlight of the trip for me. The dealers room is great and all but just hanging with like minded people... well, there's nothing like it.

I do hope everyone got a Mego helmet at my table. They will be back next year if you missed it.

Thanks again for asking about the boys. I appreciate it and hopefully they will be there next year.

Scott

Great to finally meet you Scott, even if it was very brief.

Hey Scott thanks for those cool helmets, Chase couldn't have finished his custom Drew Brees without it and I'm glad I got a Steelers looking one. It seems like we wait so long for mego meet and its over in a blink and then you think to yourself 364 days I have to wait, then I get bummed out until I dig through all my treasures and start customizing.

I made an attempt to stop at that Antique Toy Mall you told me about in Louisville. Found it without a hitch. It was open from 1-5 on Sundays...and I pulled up at 11:30am.

Oh well...I will try again the next time I come. As always, it is great to visit with you Scott and hear another Southern accent :smiley1:

There is supposed to be a really cool an antique toy mall in Louisville, is that the one your talking about?

I believe so. The links that Ed put up are from the mall that Scott told me about.

How did you get there so early? LOL. There is also a flea market and antique store at exit 116. I hit those on the way home but didn't find anything. I didn't get into Louisville until about 3:30pm.

I left earlier than you.

I saw that HUGE outdoor flea market about 5 minutes past the Antique Toy mall exit, but decided not to stop due to time. Glad I didn't...I got stuck in construction on I-40 for about an hour and a half...less than 100 miles from home :enraged:

Oh...THAT antique mall. I've been there a few times. Been several years though. I think I may have figured out what we are doing on Father's Day (Daddy's choice)!
