I've very bummed as it looks like I wont make it to the meet this year. First time since there has been a con that I haven't made it. I may have sold much and may not be around but I still love the hobby and was looking forward to going and seeing everyone. But as it happens I have two events to stage and produce back to back June 5th thru June 9th, and it's the kind of thing I can't be replaced doing.

So it looks like the super 8 becomes the sensational 7. I hate that I'm the one to break the 8!

But who knows. If the last event gets done in time, 5pm saturday, I may make the 4 hour drive to WV just to hang out in the Mego Suite Saturday night. I am going to try.

So have a good meet everyone! Wish I could be there to see everyone.

The Meet has evolved into something more then just the Hobby (for me) and a lot of that has to do with Dave.

They'll always be a seat at the coach for you Dave.

MegoMeet without DaveMc is like Christmas without a Santa.

If you do make it to the MegoSuite on Saturday though, I will officially declare the Super 8 to be intact (assuming everyone else makes it). The Suite is as much a part of the Meet as anything else.

as much as I feel for those who say they can't make it this year - I want to say this about Dave...
I have anxiety a bit more than the usual person.
It was at the level where I wouldn't drive more than 2-3 hrs away from home for stuff.
I was really wanting to make the trip - but never could physically.
2009 - I bought a GPS for my truck and I started bugging Dave via PM about details....and details...and details. I'm sure I was annoying because he probably didn't fully understand my situation because I'm not one to post a bunch of personal stuff (like I am now, so consider it my emotional deposit for the group LOL).

So, even though we don't talk on the phone, have cookouts and chill together on weekends, I thank Dave for helping me change.

Ah man, if you've never met Dave at the Meet you're missing out. I remember my first MegoMeet, I didn't know anyone, and Dave (among others) made me feel right at home.

I got to hang out with Bobby Kimball a few years back at a meet and greet after a show. Very nice guy and very talented. I've always liked Toto. I don't usually admit such stuff on a public forum, so I'm coming out of my shell as well.

I'm not much of a traveller either, so you've got me beat by 4 hours. That's about all I can take in a car.
