I was wondering will someone be restringing T1's for a fee at the meet?

Bring them to my table and I'll see what I can do...free of charge. Type 1's are really easy to re-string. Type 2's I can't help you out with. I still can't fix those buggers.

I use needle nose pliers or similar to pull the rubber bands, and then slip nails or paperclips through them so they don't snap back in. Then I can pull the rubber band out & slip the limb's hook through it. Remove paper clip / nail, and done.

If you can do that, you'll be a T1 Mechanic in no time. Restringing them is just a matter of getting the elastic tight enough without being too tight. I don't bother repairing the hardware inside T2s. I just string them like a T1.
