The movie was very surreal at times and hard to follow. It dragged a bit IMO. Some greatvisuals though. I think they used a stunt leg at the end for Keira Knightly. That leg was too thick to be hers.

I almost watched it tonight, but got too tired. I'll watch it tomorrow if I can get up early enough. The reviews are decidedly mixed, but everyone I've talked to has liked it (at least to some extent).

I'm looking forward to seeing it myself. Can't imagine not liking it, loved the first two too much for that

That is pretty much the way I would describe the 2nd one which is why I'll wait for the dollar theatres or pass all together.

Yeah, I'll go with what everyone else is saying. A little too long and draggy. Also, there's too much focusing on peripheral characters, losing screen time for the main ones. I do love Geoffrey Rush in it, though. It was decent, with a good ending.

I'll just download it like I did with Spidey 3 and Shrek 3. The only movie I'll see in theaters is Transformers.

Peace,

Chip

I liked the Movie. Didn't find it slow for me at all, like I thought parts in 2 were... A nice end to the trilogy & Johnny Deep Rules Again !

I guess I should rent POC 2 now, or maybe I'll wait until this one comes out on DVD. I liked the first one, just not enough to run to the theaters to see the other 2. Its nice to save som eof the bigger movies for quiet weekends at home. I have too many other movies I want to see at the theater, like FF4: Silver Surfer, Live Free or Die Hard, The Simpsons, Bourne Ultimatum, and my prediction for sleeper hit of the summer... Superbad.

I thought it was a decent movie. Better than the second but no where near the first. It was too long a movie. There was a lot of fat that could have been trimmed and made for a better film.

I have been watched part 1 and 2 but not part 3 yet. I haven't seen that on the TV break preview. When part 3 is coming at theaters?

I like part one is the best and the 2nd is good.

I like Pirates!!! :skull:

I thought 3 was way too long and they strayed from the fun slapstick kind of fight scenes like Jack running around like a giant shish kabob or the sword fight on the runaway paddlewheel for over the top visuals. Also there were way too many side plots too follow(who's making what deal or backstabbing who). Depp didn't really seem to be quite in character as in the 1st two. I didn't hate it. I guess I'm just disappointed.

I didn't care for it and at times had to think too hard to follow the plot. I like to see a movie and enjoy and relax. Too much going on in this one for me.

WAAAAAAAY too long. I mean, you could cut an hour out long. I'm very disappointed with where they took this series. I really like the first one, despised the second, and the third was not much better. I was bored stiff.

With a country as small as Belgium this doesn't mean a lot, but Pirates 3 broke all the records here in it's first week

really? wow, would've thought other movies would've made more money then that one,but it's not a surprise with the popularity of the first two

I thought it was unbelievably slow and plodding, took itself far too seriously (esp. considering the first one is a /comedy/), and the plot was byzantine and over-complicated without any emotional payoff.

But when it explodes for twenty minutes into a special effects extravaganza, boy is that cool! The whole movie should have been paced like the climax.

Just out of curiosity, do you live in the predominantly Dutch speaking part of the country or the French speaking part?

May go to see it at the drive-in tonight. If not, then maybe next week. It's a good drive-in movie if nothing else.
