Need help with info on Superman poster from '79

My father in law just discovered a poster exactly like the one in this listing and I was wondering if any of you guys and gals may have a little more background on its origins?

    Thanks!

I would have to agree with the listing, looks like a cereal box premium.

It was a cereal premium. I think it was something offered in Sugar Smacks. I held onto almost everything from my childhood, but somehow this piece was lost really early on.

Correct, it is a cereal premium...they did several of these, I think I have most of them. I know they did posters of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and group posters. I've never seen an Aquaman or Flash...seems like they may have been gearing them off of the Superfriends.

The Super Heroes posters were found in boxes of Post cereals in 1979. The box of the Fruity Pebbles can be found here while the group poster can be found here. I have Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman but not the group one.
