Is it bootleg? Likely not.:tool: I inspected the threadwork and I think it's factory produced.
I have the purple Urko CIPSA tunic and the orange one as well, and the purple is more likely a bootleg, so the differences can be seen in these variants.

Back to this light brown fabric, has anyone else encountered this in Mexican ApeLand? It's the first one I've seen in five years of looking.

Here's the Purple and the Orange Urko. I need to get them side by side. That'll get done soon.

Interesting to note that the Purple has no "chestplate" but the leather is clearly Urko-esque.

I would guess the Ursus is original as well. I have seen a couple of different variations on the leather pattern throughout the years. I have not seen that much of a difference in the brown fabric, but would still tend to think it was original. I agree the purple is a custom. It's a pretty good job except for the sloppy stitching on the one cuff. I think that is the giveaway.

Very interesting!!

I saw our 2 MM members have Soldado Ursus with a regular version black tunic that looks different than your one with brown sleeves that Bryan sold 4 CIPSA Apes to me, is that black leather variant or regular version?

This is megoapesnut's CIPSA Soldado Ursus with fair smooth black leather tunic.

Is that my Soldado Ursus's black tunic with vertical lines variant on the right side? (seen bellow pics with green background)

That's the same as this one has black tunic with vertical lines I have - http://bryansanders.com/sell/DSC00176.JPG

I have both of them, both are legit. The one with the lighter sleeves is the scarcer one.

Legit means authentic Pat , not a reproduction or a fake ;)

I have one of the purple bootleg Urkos. He does have a black chest piece it is glued on not sewn. I believe it to be all original . has matching purple pants. It is actually a blue purple up close. Mine is .the exact color of the tunic Bryan has posted here

As a general observation... the quality control in the Cipsa line is errant (especially in the gorillas) at best. I too think they are all legit and just representative of the spotty factory output at the time.

That said, B's boxed treat with the minty bagged accessories is drooltastic!

I saw that in your private collection, I thought it's custom..... didn't know you got legit one as Bryan's.

Where'd you found the tunic with pants from? I've not seen like that pants go with Cipsa POTA line, I guess that's limit bootleg or Exclusive?
