About a month ago I bid on and won an LSU game used jersey from the Tulane game. My wife was cool about it, said it was my "play" money, it didn't come out of my real money from my pay check. She wasn't too big on it but let me do it.

Well today, Dan Cannivari (Asst AD of LSU) calls me and tells me I was the 2nd highest bidder on Keith Zinger's jersey and the winner did not pay. He said I could have it at my highest bid.

I call my wife to see if anyone she works with would want it at my cost, not even considering getting it for myself. She tells me to go buy it for myself. I about fell over and asked what did she do to my wife (maybe she was taken hostage :smiley1:).

So I am now the owner of two 2007 BCS National Championship season, game used jerseys!!!!!

Don't ever let her go.

There is no way my wife would have offered up something like that. I would have been begging and pleading for it and then hearing about it for the next month or so.

My wife is that was as well. She even encouraged me on my recent Popy Superman MIB buy! I'm lucky, I know!

The Ryan Perilleaux ran me $1000 (plus $200 for the framing)

This Keith Zinger jersey ran me $800

The best part, since LSU won the NC, Dan could have just ran the auction again and it would have pulled twice what I paid for it today.

How is my first attempt at framing myself? This ran me just under $70 to do it myself. I left the open spot up top incase I decide to add anything. Ihad to sew the jersey to the backing. that was a pain in the butt:

Here is the professional framed one again that ran me $200:
