    poopatrooer question

I bought a couple on ebay about a year ago, they came with parachutes, and I paid about $6 for two. Yesterday I got one in a mixed bag of toys at my local thrift shop. So here's my question, the two I bought off ebay were hard plastic and the one that I got yesterday if soft rubber. Were the two I bought on ebay bootlegs? or did they make them in both hard plastic and rubber. seems the ones I remember from the 80's were the softer rubber type.

Yeah, I figure I could have just sent him a Pm (or a FB message as I get his FB feed), but in case anybody else is interested in the answer I posted here.
I don't like the thought that somebody's selling repros and not disclosing it.

You rang? Yes, the hard ones are knockoffs. I would love to figure out when, where and by whom they were made, but I just don't have any leads. The ones made by Imperial were all soft vinyl. I've put all my poopatrooper pictures on my Facebook page: The Original Poopatroopers | Facebook. I've got a photo album devoted to the hard plastic knockoffs. I've sold some of those on ebay, but always labeled them as reproductions, even though when I bought them they weren't labeled as such.

Yep Poopa Prez got it covered.

I'm trying to locate my full counter-top container of poopas right now, it's the last piece I need for my Rack Toys photoshoot. It's coming B, honest! :-)

Ok, Thanks, Poopaprez, that answers that. Seems like a lot of work to boot those guys (with a screen printed parachute none the less), and I can't see a ton of money in it, even if they made thousands and put them in dollar stores etc.

I'd really like a bigger collection of these guys, and I'd like to branch out into the parafools as well, but I only have so much disposable income at the moment.
