Even though Team America was cool, I still felt sorry for the kids who were born too late and missed the Evel Knievel craze.

Neat! I don't think I've seen those commercials before. How did those Guzzlers cars really work? I can't imagine they actually ran on water.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Ideal may have solved the energy crisis, and no one remembers it?

I too was fortunate to have both Evel Kneivel AND Team America toys. I had the Dirt Bike, and the Dune Buggy that came with Wolf or Lobo or whatever his name was. Good stuff, and close enough to Mego scale for me!

I actually have a guzzler in the box. I am selling it in my antique mall. I will have to grab it and see how it works exactly.

1980 seemed too early for these to me, because I was basing my knowledge of the toy on the Marvel comic book, which I dearly loved (and which was written by Bill Mantlo, an all-time favorite of mine). I looked it up and I was right: comic was published from '82-'83.

I had no idea the Marvel character TA guys were ever released as single cards, but they were... .

I'd love a MOC Honcho. He was my favorite.
