Me Big JIm, No Wait Me Tarzan!

Even though this Mattel Tarzan set is made completely of recycled Big Jim pieces, (That's Big Jeff as Lord Greystoke) it's got to be one of my favourite action figures ever. For more Tarzan stuff check out our Tarzan Toys Gallery.

Now that's cost-effective recycling right there! But it works. He looks much better than Mego's "Pajama Fun" Tarzan.

One time I was doing the "Bigfoot & Wildboy" thing (ala Krofft), and used the SMDM Bigfoot figure, and Big Jeff w/ a piece of felt on. It worked really well, and size proportioned.

I never had one as a kid, but I've built and sold several custom Big Jim Tarzans. I did it the same way Mattel did. Re-paint a Big Jeff, trim is shorts, cast resin BJ knife and a custom box. Always a good seller.

I've always loved this particular Tarzan figure.

Cool, I had this, but I had the black cat one, instead of the ape. I got it from Howard Brothers Department store. Damn, that was many years ago...Im getting old.....
