    Computer Scanner Queston on settings

    Hey,
Got a question if anyone knows ......

My scanner is an HP Office 5610 Jet All-In-One.
I got it a few years ago.

The problem is, I can't scan 3-D objects.

    As an example,
If I lay a Mego on the glass and scan it....
It comes out really blurry--- and the only clear parts is the parts that actually touched the glass.

I'm using the settings the factory provided because I don't know how to change them.
Is there a way to set this thing for 3-D ?

I'm assuming there is because my old 10 year POS scanner used to scan 3_d fine.

The only settings I can find is landscape or portrait-- which dont help this at all.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.......

Mike 2D scanners are not really equipped to scan 3D items. You can get good results sometimes but not always.

1 suggestion-I assume you are leaving the lid open to accomidate the 3D item you are scanning? The item does not take up the whole field of scannable galss right?

Perhaps drape a dark shirt or cloth around it so no outside light is shinning in. That might interfere with the scan. The available light will reflect of the toy. It might produce a better result. I don't think that will help much but it's worth a shot.
