Hello I finally got a copy of this comic in my hands and read it its actually pretty good I think John Buscema drew it for Marvel I thinks its posted in the Plaidstallions web page and can read and view it .but I wanted an actual copy. Im a bigger fan of the Pack series now after reading this they remind of an early version of the A-Team which I also loved.

They reminded me of Doc Savage personally but then again so does the A Team. It was a really happy memory for me as a kid, I wore that thing out reading it.
Like Mike mentioned I put the comic on my site ages ago, so excuse the crude page format.

You did a great job posting the comic very clear scans I do suggest all Big Jims Pack fans to give it a once over again. And you know your right I guess Doc Savage would be a good comparison also .I guess Its been at least 20 years since I saw the George Pal film.Comment

I don't know if I'd call it "very rare" but it doesn't pop up a lot. I think you can find it by checking ebay.
One promo comic I would love to find is the Ideal S.T.A.R team one, it's produced by Marvel as well.
BTW, Kirby did the original 4 character box designs for the P.A.C.K dolls and the Beast, the comic ad and Mexican variations (where they did inventive things) were simply swipes from that original work. Later box designs I think were Buscema, I actually prefer those.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

I'm not a 110% on that, it's just my best guess. The best way to find out would be to post some examples of it here and let Eart 2 Chris see it, he's really good at that.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Wow, I wasn't aware of that comic. What toy(s) did it come with, the Star Hawk or Kent and his Cosmic Cruiser perhaps? (I bought a Knight of Darkness, Zem 21 and Zeroid brand new when I was a kid and they didn't come with a comic).Comment

I don't know if the comic came with the toys and that would explain it's rarity. I've only ever seen it once, the first time I signed on to ebay actually.....Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Ah, those. I remember seeing those when you posted them on PS.
Torpedo Fist's face in the top drawing definitely looks like John Buscema's work. The only one who looks a little odd for Buscema is Zorak, although his hands look Buscema-esque. I'll do some comparisons when I get home.
