Today I received my Bif Bang Pow! Flash Gordon action figures from Entertainment Earth. I placed my order on 12/24/07. The standard Flash Gordon and Ming (red robe) were sold as a set for $29.99. And the EE Exclusive Ming (black robe) was $14.99. They look great, much like a McFarlane action figure.
Apparently there is a 2nd Flash Gordon action figure as he is advertised on the packaging. He's wearing a red tank top with black lightning bolt and comes with a blaster. I wonder if he is another store's exclusive as the black robed Ming is an EE exclusive and he is advertised on the packaging.
Online news sites report that the second wave will feature Klytus, Barin, and Dale.

I displayed mine last night and they do look great. I have a beef with the black Ming variant. Of course he is just a re-paint of the red robed Ming and not wearing the actual black robe from the film. But the real issue is the way his legs are molded. He can't stand on his own. You need to position him so that the robe is propping him up from behind.
I would love to see some pics! I'm very interested in getting these characters.

After a month my standard Ming is now having the same problem. His legs must have "settled" and he can no longer stand on his own. Very frustrating. Not a good thing for an action figure company that is just starting out.

I know. They're from 2 months ago when those posts were current. I don't host images forever.

Anyone know why these figures have Alex Ross's name slapped on them? Other than his name to sell the figures? I know the hype is he designed them, but not really. I know he is in love with the movie, and may have tweaked the designs somewhat, but he didn't design them. IIRC he was barely in high school when the movie came out.

The figures are molded to look like he drew them ala DC Direct's Justice line.
