Kenner's 6 Million Dollar Man Movie Viewer

Anyone else remember this toy??? I had one as a kid. I think it pre-dated the action figure. I did a search for it on Plaidstallions but came up empty. There is one listed on ebay but the film cartridge is one from Snoopy. I know Kenner has several SMDM cartridges for the viewer. I had three I believe. I wish I could remember the titles. I remember when the cartridges fell appart. I attempted to salvage the film inside, but did'nt realize the difference between 8mm and Super 8 films. My parents old projecter was'nt compatable.

I see them on ebay from time-to-time... but I can't believe any still work. I had a 6MDM viewer, and my brother had a Star Wars one, and neither lasted more than a few weeks before the film tangled up inside the cartridges.

I have one. It has 2 SMDM movies (I think), and 1 Flintstone one, and only the Flintstones work, (well sorta). The Fisher-Price hand projectors and cartridges are made better, and if you find one today, it'll most likely work. Too bad the same isn't true for the Kenner viewer.

Correct! They would break really quick. There was also a Disney one that involved a trip into space.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Sears use to have this posted in their Christmas catalog. I think I remember seeing it in the 1976 edition.

Received the Six Mill movie viewer from Santa in 1975.

I have the Star Wars version of the MovieViewer. It still works too.

I have one I picked up at a flea market about 15 years ago still in the box. Luckily, you can crank it and watch it while it's still unopened. I think the trick to keeping the film untangled is just cranking slowly.
