I just registered at the Super 8 - (304) 243-9400 - and you must give them Chris Johnson's name or you won't be able to get a room both days. They currently have one smoking room that *isn't* reserved for us and that's it. Better hustle.

Admission for this year remains $20. The prices for dealer tables have risen slightly to $15/ea. There are Paypal buttons for Admission; Admission w/table, and Additional tables on the registration page. Let me know if you have any problems with them. They worked OK for me....don't forget to list your name and museum ID as well as any guests you may have for the sake of making name tags.

Chris and I will continue to update the info as we have it. I should have everything ready for the Customs Auction next week.

I almost forgot - Kruger Street has wi-fi now throughout the whole building.

Holy crap.

Fellas, book your hotel room now. I mean it.

They are full.

Nonsmoking rooms are gone, and they are actually over booked by two right now.

Smoking rooms with two beds are gone.

I got a smoking room with a king....cot for the second bed.

If a non smoking two bed opens, I am on the list of dibbs.

They have guys drilling for natural gas in the area who have been using the place nonstop.

The usual rooms set aside in Chris Johnson's name...the guy had no idea....but nothing new there.

Dang, just had a thought- this guys says they are booked..not much left.
Did we get the suite??

Just called and reserved a room :cool_y:. You gotta make sure you tell them you are with Chris Johnson's group (the guy taking reservations knows now). There are a block of non-smoking rooms that have 2 queens reserved for us.

noelani72, you're good to go. He put you in one of the rooms Chris had blocked off :wink:.

And yeah, Chris got the suite.

Holy crap! That is insane. :shocked2: The place is booked already and it is not even no where close to Mego Meet time. I was hoping to land a non smoking room with a Jacuzzi. I do not think that I will be able to "hack" a smoking room. egads! :grin:

What is the next option there that is close by?

Chris usually books the Suite, my room, and his room when he sets the whole thing up. It's amazing how we always hit something the week we go there. One year it was a wedding, now natural gas drilling. We're putting gas workers up in hotels for 6 months. Hope they don't mind some noise.

I just booked 3 tables and 3 registrations - I don't think the wife and
kids are coming this time, but I figured it's better to be safe than sorry.

I am sure there are other hotels near, just sucks to be in another hotel and have to commute back and forth. I will try to call someone tomorrow and hope I can get a non smoking room.

Booked my room for the 7th, 8th and 9th. The guy (who was really nice) said I had a non-smoking room and I got me a confirmation number so it looks like I'm good. Will register my table this weekend probably.

I was told $72.00 when I just booked my room. I got non smoking! All set. Just waiting for the day to arrive. I will be there Thursday thru Sunday. Not that anyone cares....LOL

Thanks guys - hotels link updated. I stayed at the Comfort Inn in Triadelphia a few years ago, and it was a dump. Not sure if it's any better these days.

I will be going this year, the first time since 2007. I have been too busy the last few years (had a baby, moved twice, bought a house...). This will be the first year I will be driving there. I plan on making a mini vacation out of it. My wife and I really enjoyed Wheeling (the WV prison tour, moundsville, the house tour, Marx museum and fosteria museum) MegoMeet is really worth the trip.

AS always, I'll stay at a friend's house - this is nice that I get to catch up with him and it is free, but I always feel like I am missing out on summer camp by not staying at the Super 8.

I'm in on Wednesday so I don't have to rush and can just relax for an evening before the madness begins. I might also be working on customs in my room last minute as well. Afte the past year I've had, I need this badly.

Finally got off my rear and booked my room as well. Already registered with a table. This is coming up fast. I have to admit that, more than anything, I am looking forward to the motorcycle ride again. That was an awesome ride last year. Here's hoping the weather is good.

I have only been on the Mego Museum site since last August and I am happy that I came aboard. I have met some great knowledgeable people on here and closed some great deals with great folks!

I hope I can make it this year! I will drive most likely drive out from Colorado.

Just booked my room... Starting a streak... 2nd year in a row... Hey even DiMaggio started small lol... Hoping to find some good stuff to add to last years haul... Blue meany got a lot of it last year :)
