Anyone book their hotel yet? Are they running the specials?
Thanks!

I believe the hotel is pretty much sold out. I think some members were looking at neighboring hotels.
Holy poop!!! Sold out already?!?! I guess that makes the decision easier :(

This was my alternative in case the 8 was booked:
SpringHill Suites Wheeling (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/pitwh-springhill-suites-wheeling/)
It's right down the road...and much better (IMHO)...just a bit more expensive.
...and here is a Hampton Inn as well:
Hampton Inn Wheeling (http://hamptoninn.hilton.com/en/hp/hotels/index.jhtml?xch=1293875097,9B42P51bJTBTYxcpk4p2pBw 8nXthW4QDT8rFQggtvKVyDhNfwqLc!-1043722243!1333346139866&ctyhocn=WHEWVHX)

It would be nice if you all could decide on a 'preferred alternate' hotel. I will have info on what, if anything, is left at Super 8 in the next few days.

Berto and I are booked at the 8...I was just throwing out suggestion for those who may not be able to get a room if the 8 is indeed sold-out.
P.S. Glad to hear Brian 'Palitoy' will be able to make it

I'm probably going to day-trip it this year, so I'll abstain from the vote. However, I've been looking at other hotels in case I change my plans. I'd avoid the St Clairsville Super 8 because of numerous bad reviews on more then one site. The St Clairsville Red Roof Inn looks interesting.
My main goal this trip will be to eat at the Mehlman Cafeteria in St Clairsville. I drive by it on trips to Philly, but have never stopped in. Looks like a nostalgic place..

Just tried to book and indeed the Super 8 in nearly full. They have two smoking rooms (1 King and 1 Double), but I am allergic to smoke. Crap! I need to call and make arrangments pronto then. Ugh!

I would try booking without using the Meet info. Use a AAA discount if you have it. If our block sells out they may have rooms available outside our reserved rooms. I know there is some construction work that's filling the rooms up.

Yup, tried that, but the Super 8 is booked solid. I booked down the road at the Hampton Inn. It's closer to the Dallas Pike than the Super 8, but still on 4-5 miles from the Museum.
