Watching an episode last night and had the thought that it would be a cool figure to own. Maybe an idea for the auction at this year's MM?

My buddy and I have flirted with him for over a decade, I even explored the license at one point.

I have a really nice 1/6th scale head sculpt of him. I just haven't had the time to piece him together. It's really time consuming trying to find custom clothes. And the hat is even harder.

I can believe that.

I have to search my files, but there is a LIMITED EDITION 1/6th Scale KOLCHAK. It is pricey if I recall at about $199 or there about. I'll post a link as soon as I find it. This is a piece I would like to do as well, but as stated, the CLOTHING is a bit of a tough go.

Here you go: It is less than I thought $100. Monsters In Motion.

Here is also a link to a neat custom display: http://www.freewebs.com/nightmaresandnightstalkers/kolchak16custom.htm

That's pretty sweet. Camera, tape recorder and all. I am not a huge fan of 12", I much prefer 8", but that's not a problem for one piece. Thanks, I think I'll sang one of those.

Looks kinda like a custom.

I think they (Monsters in Motion) are referring to this as a custom limited edition figure to avoid some copyright and/or licensing issues. So, technically a custom unlicensed figure it may be.
I believe that MOONSTONE holds the rights to the character just as they do with CAPTAIN ACTION.
But I may be in error.

Moonstone has comic rights, doubt if they own any of these characters outright. Universal still owns Kolchak.

That looks like the work of a guy that makes 12 inch Hammer customs, he's based overseas. I believe he is called Distinctive Dummies (not sure if I spelled that right)
