    Sea Devils 71

The Mattel Sea Devils made so few catalog appearances in their all too brief run in the early 1970s that it's important to point them out. I never had a Sea Devil growing up as I wasn't two by the time the line was cancelled, I would have been ALL OVER this line though.

My fascination with scuba diving was slightly obsessional during the early 1970s....

I too was just too young to have ever seen these (having just been born), and didn't find out about them until sometime in the early '90s. I'm still surprised the line didn't take of in it's day, with the popularity of Jacques Cousteau and how cool these toys are. Don't know if you cold buy this set today for that catalog price time a hundred.

I wonder if they had DC Comics say anything to them about this? The comic even had and undersea alien pal.

^I was thinking the same thing.

These are cool looking toys though. Not sure I had ever seen these before!

Absolutely love this line of toys! I got a figure set for Christmas one year and the next day my dog had chewed the figure up. I was devastated.

I thought this had something to do with Doctor Who.

                  Wow, that's pretty serendipitous.

That whole find is amazing however..

I love underwater stuff, (even though the thought of scuba diving scares me to death ) , and it's too bad this stuff wasn't out during the run of "Sea Hunt". I bet it would have sold BIG!

Yeah. He's had a store for quite a while and a number of surprising things (to me anyway) have walked in his door. He's also an avid collector and a good fellow, so it's hard to be jealous. But I succeed.
