    Kung-Fu grip to Kung-Fu grit!

So I was giving one of my Adventure Team guys a costume change and look what happened.....

The hands basically disintigrated....Anyone know if this happens to all Kung-Fu grip guys, or am I just the lucky one?

Unfortunately, it happens to most if not all vintage hands.

I am always VERY careful when manipulating KFG hands. Fortunately, Cottswald makes some nice repros and the modern Hasbro hands from the Walmart repros work as well.

Cast-A-Way Toys also makes repro hands (they do not come with a wrist peg, you can use your old wrist peg as these just slip over them like original Joe hands). But they are supposed to be a better sculpt (closer to original Joe hands) than the Cotswold hands.

I had totally forgotten that CAW did that. They did different colors as well, I think.

edit: Yep, just looked at all the colors, but I could not get the flesh ones in my cart. It says they are out of stock.

the rubber used for the hands hardens over time and they basically fall apart when handled

I didn't know that--good info! My Atomic Man is using Cots hands right now, and I should check these out.

I immediately swapped out any old kung-fu grip hands for repros. That old rubber is just too flakey.
