    looking for sneakers

I was looking for some sneakers for a custom I am working on (yes, now that
Toy Fair is over, I am stealing some time to make something for myself!)

I don't want to use the AJ baseball shoes, and I thought CTV had regular
sneakers, but I can't find them on the site, so does anyone know where
    I can find regular sneakers?

thanks - they are really poor looking - but it's just for a custom for myself.
Maybe I can improve them and offer a better version.

they are made of soft rubber and can be a bear to get on the feet but they do look good once on. i used the black ones for Hurley from lost.

I have ordered these before. I would suggest ordering a few pairs. The quality is ranges from ok to useless. One shoe I got wasn't completely hollow.

Check Ebay. I was able to get actual 1/6 scale Nikes for a custom figure I made of myself. I am sure they must have them in the Mego 1/9 scale

Weird when Doc Mego is looking for custom parts. Messing with my head.

And by "weird" I mean cool, just, ya'know, unexpected... (Is there an emoticon for sticking your foot in your mouth?)

My experience with CTVT sneakers has been that they are a hit or miss on the fit for regular male bodies. Some I had to fight them to get them on the foot as the sneakers were way too tight. Also when trying to force them on the paint rubbed off of them as well. Some were so tight that it just would not go on no matter what. Those fit the females very well though.

I have also had good experiences with them to. Some fit like a glove so to speak (even know they are a sneaker )

If all else fails try heating them up a bit and then put them on the foot. Maybe that will help.

I must have gotten pretty lucky with my order.

I picked up pairs in red, black and white. The white pair has one shoe with a lump of excess material inside, so it deforms out a bit on the side, but the other two sets were perfect. My SMDM is sporting the reds.

How long ago did you place your order?

I've ordered a few pairs of shoes from CTVT, the white sneakers were fine but the "dress" shoes can be on the small side but since they are VERY soft they stretch. As to Nostalgiabuff mentioning that the blue sneakers he got were child size, the 6" child figure "Bud Bundy" figure comes with blue sneakers.
