    Best Casting Resin?

I am looking for opinions about resins for casting Mego heads.
    What gives the best results?

I get little bubbles in mine and have to fill and sand sometimes.
I am anxious to hear from everyone!

    Thanks,
    Barrett

that's not due to your resin. It is due to the fact you are not using a pressure pot to cast your heads.

      Hmmmm....

The little bubbles can often be prevented if you use a very thin layer of talcum powder in your mold before casting. And for parts I like to use EasyFlo 60.

megowgsh is the man when it come to pressure pot stuff.

          I use Smooth-Cast 300 and I don't have a pressure pot setup.
The only bubbles I get are due to me pouring in to my mold too fast and getting air trapped in a chin or something....and now that I am careful, it is not a problem.

^Yup. Mostly air is either because the mold was poured to quickly, because the mold is set up in a way that catches air bubbles, or because the mixing wasn't done smoothly and trapped a lot of air as the A and B combined.

I use Micromark colorcast available from their website because I prefer to pigment the resin instead of painting the skin (smooth-on offers a pigmentable too I believe). the Micromark is a 1:1 and has a 15 to 20 minute demold time.

I will try everything and see what happens.
I may just need better resin just for my heads.
