I just picked up four of the strangest metal minatures today while out on the rounds. Got them at a hole in the wall "antiques" shop in the sticks.

Bound naked ladies. Only marking on them is H L. Any ideas what they are from and who made them? There were about 8 other D&D esque minatures, but these really stood out. Very strange.

Thanks for the help.

These look to 25mm medieval torture victims, though I don't know the manufacturer the style of sculpting would indicate that they were produced in the 80's.

I'll see if I can find out more, but the markings could indicated the manufacturer, or be the sculptor's initials.

The HL might stand for Humphrey Leadbetter, who used to sculpt for Citadel Miniatures back in the day.

Thanks guys! Sounds like you got it in the ballpark. After searching a bit with those keywords, I came up with some info. No pictures to back it up, but the descriptions sound right.

From what I have read, there were two series of minatures like this and what I have are a mix of both.

Don't know what I am going to do with them. It was just such a strange find. I can't imagine what the shop owner was thinking when I asked to see the naked lady figures and the bag of war nickles in the display case!
