I bet the kid in the SMDM costume thought he was the stuff back at that time.

You have to admit it would be a lot better telling your gf/wife that you was dressed as the SMDM back in the day rather than being the soldier or cowboy.

I wonder where those kids (in all the store catalogs) are these days and what they might be doing now? Anyone ever hear of any of them becoming stars or appearing in other ads? Just curious to know.

I was the SMDM in 2006. (yeah, I'm a girl, I know). That costume is pretty cool though.

The Cowboy pants are a bit cosmic with the swooshy stars on the legs- maybe that made you a space cowboy?

That reminds me of the Ben Cooper costume that came out with a mask back in the mid-70's. Of course the costume was your basic plastic suit, but the idea was the same.
