A tale of two monster pencil toppers

I got these in recently and I am a bit confused.

They both appear to be based off the AHI heads, the Frank is hard plastic and marked made in HING KONG, while the wolfie is soft vinyl and similiar to an actual AHI head.

They look cool, way better than those fuzzy hair pencil toppers I remember from school

Does the Frankenstein's Monster look to have had a loop at the top of the head at one time? I've seen hard plastic Frankie heads that were sold as charms (with a loop), as finger puppets (large hole in neck resulting in a barrel shaped head), and as pencil toppers. I don't remember any looking so close to the AHI though. Every new find just creates MORE mystery!

It very possibly could have, yes. I noticed it while photographing, can't tell if it was broken off or just poorly cast at the factory.
