    Great flaming arrows!

I picked this set up during the summer and was surprised to discover it's not the legendary HG Toys Archery set but a knock off of some sort. which surprises me. I barely knew who GA was as a kid, so it amazes me that toy manufacturers did.

That one appearance on the Superfriends got him places, Mego not only made a figure but gave him some wheels too. The 70s were definitely good to Ollie.

Plus he hooked up with Black Canary! The 70s WERE good to Ollie! Except for the whole "My ward is a JUNKIE!" thing.

I've seen this before. I think on my pal Scot McCullar's late lamented GA website. Knock-off or not, that's some nice package art!!!

So the blue tip is on the yellow arrow and the yellow tip is on the blue arrow. I am digging the artwork.

^And nothing in the set is GREEN!

I like his Arrow belt buckle.

A knock off?!? I've seen this once before (photo) and just assumed it was from HG. Is there a manufacture listed on it?

There isn't any mention of a manufacturer or a copyright for NPP.

I think Green Arrow is the bridesmaid of DC Superheroes. He makes one guest shot on Superfriends but doesn't get to become a regular. (And Plastic Man made one guest shot before having two animated shows.) He was the first character to appear in the Justice League Unlimited cartoon past the big guns, but he was still treated as second tier. And he got a variety of guest spots on Brave and the Bold, The Batman, and Smallville but always was the extra character. I know there's a pilot now, but we'll see if he ever gets to headline a production.

Thanks, that's so strange. And of course, COOL!

The sad part is, I never once noticed it. I had one in the late 1990s and put it on display at my friend's comic shop (to solicit people to sell me their vintage toys) and he was convinced I made it myself.
